New brick : Mail to RSS

brick xfruits Mail to RSS
brick xfruits Mail to RSS
With our new brick, called "Mail to RSS", you can have access to your unread e-mails from any RSS compatible information system. This new module connects to your mailbox and converts its content into a RSS format. With this new system you can experience many advantages like :
  • Possibility to generate a PDF document gathering your e-mails (thanks to "RSS to PDF" brick)
  • Mobility (thanks to "RSS to Mobile" brick)
  • and especially the possibility to access to your e-mails in your Start-Page.
This brick is POP3, IMAP4 and Gmail compatible.

Nice. This suits me much better than Post to RSS. But...
I can not confirm Gmail compatibility. Mail to RSS doesn't seem to work with either IMAP or SSL-Connection. I only succeeded with plain POP3, which Googlemail doesn't take.

The output doesn't validate either:

Wrong Content Type
================
Input URL: http://xfruits.com/revise/xxxxxxx/
Error:
=====
Expecting an XML feed, but found a document of type text/html. Please make sure the feed URL is correct.

This feed does not validate.
======================
line 1, column 0: XML parsing error: :1:0: no element found [help]
In addition, this feed has an issue that may cause problems for some users. Feeds should not be served with the "text/html" media type

Is there any way of showing feed counts?

I just combined 4 feedburner feeds into a single xFruits feed. I put that feed into feedburner hoping it would aggregate the subscribers but it doesn't!!! Is that impossible to achieve?

I am trying to use the mail to rss brick along with a pop server. However in my case the name of the pop server cannot be deduced from the email address. So I get an error message when testing and I am given a chance to enter the adress of my pop server . It seems however that this adress is not taken into account correctly as the testing hangs.
Is there a workaround to that problem?.

Thanks

do you ever respond to these comments? i dont see any response from you.

This is about the only email-to-rss service I could find and it works well with gmail, so thanks for that. However, I would love to read the whole contents of the e-mails and right now it is just sending me a two line preview. Is it possible to include all contents? Thanks.

I was very exited about "mail to rss brick", but I'm very disappointed because this brick it doesn't seems to work.
I wish you had a tutorial, a support mail, or a help page because i don't know what i'm doing wrong.
